Black Swans Studio is a multi discipline art and design studio set in the Buckinghamshire countryside. Created by Karina Thomas and Lisa Vaughan to share teaching skills and experience from their design backgrounds.
Come and join the workshops here and enjoy this inspiring design space; a place of learning and retreat. Monthly classes are presently run in stitch, weave and decorative mending with other workshops planned from guest designers to offer a creative mix of craft and design courses.
I had the most wonderful and inspiring day weaving with Karina, who generously shared her passion and skills with me. I was immersed in beautiful surroundings, with the barn hung with art and inspiration, it was a joy chatting with both Karina and Lisa about their journeys through the world of art. I’m so pleased with my tartan cushion, and everything I have learned, I’m weaving at home already! It truly was a blissful, relaxing and very enjoyable day, I highly recommend!”

The magic behind it of course is your truly inspirational, imaginative and creative talent. I spent wonderful 3 hours sewing with Lisa. I learn’t 3 new stitches and, best of all, she taught me some of her beautiful graphic designs. She was so very generous with her ideas and a very patient teacher. And there was delicious lemon drizzle cake!
